The vision of the SPIRIT consortium is to enhance societal benefits and boost the competitiveness of Swedish industry through the utilization of ESS, MAX IV, and similar Large Scale Research Infrastructures (LSRI).
SPIRIT's mission is to stimulate and facilitate the exchange of competence and knowledge between academia, industry, the public sector, and LSRI, encouraging the increased use of ESS, MAX IV, and similar international LSRIs to drive Sweden’s future competitiveness.
SPIRIT, coordinated by Lund University and funded by Vinnova, fosters collaboration to effectively harness and develop the unique tools available at MAX IV and ESS to address global challenges. The current consortium members include Chalmers, KTH, Linköping University, Luleå University of Technology, Stockholm University, Umeå University, ESS, AstraZeneca, IKEA, Northvolt, Stena Recycling, SWERIM, and Tetra Pak.
